Born Piper Halliwell on August 7th, 1973, as the original middle sister, but now the eldest of the Halliwells. Piper is the family mediator and peacemaker. Prior to Grams' death Piper was a talented chef and was living a normal life in San Fransisco, completely unaware of her magical identity.
Even though Piper is one of the most powerful witches in the world she still has daily issues to deal with as well. Pipers powers allow her to jump in and help friends and strangers when they are in danger. However, she often over commits herself causing herself to have a frantic existance. Sometimes her good heart lands her into trouble too, but at least she is smart and resourceful. Piper was the most reticent to accept her fate, she suddenly became the head of the family when the eldest Halliwell Prue died. After Prue's death, Piper was angry and turned introspective to the point of wanting to give up the craft. Upon hearing about the existance of her half-sister Paige, Piper was uncharacteristically cold to the new sister because she saw her as only a replacement in the Power of Three. Once she took some time to heal and get to know Paige, she realised that wasn't her attention or desire. She welcomed her youngest sister into the family and she slowly grew into her new role and became not only the heart and soul but the strength of the family. She applies these same qualities to her personal life, as co-owner and manager of the sucessful club P3 she brings magic to the clubs crowds nightly.
After finding out about her destiny Piper also discovers that her then boyfriend Jeremy was only dating her to get closer to her and sisters powers. They had to act first and vanquish him before he could get to them. Piper then fell for their handyman Leo Wyatt only to have her heart broken again when she discovered that he was their 'whitelighter' send to protect them. Pained by Leo's lie, Piper tried to move on to her next door neighbour Dan but Leo wouldn't give up on her without a fight. Whilst Dan was away Piper rekindled her romance with Leo. Piper and Leo eventually wed, defying the rules which said they couldn't be together. A couple years after Piper and Leo had their first son Wyatt. The pregnancy brings both joy and fear to Piper because of Pipers old fear that the worst happens when everything seems to be going to right. However, since baby Wyatt can protect himself so she focuses on being a loving wife and mother. But her worst fears are soon realised when Leo had to leave the family to become an Elder. Hurt once again Piper allows Leo to erase her pain for the sake of baby Wyatt and allows Leo to go for the greater good. Piper tried to move on from Leo and dated Greg, a fireman, for a while only to unite once more whilst stranded in the ghostly plane. Their feelings for each other surfaced when Leo told Piper that he still loved her, but once the crisis passed they sepearated once again. Because his presence at the manor had put his son at risk to the darklighter, Leo finally realised that he needed to take his place as an Elder. After their night in the ghostly plane Piper returns to be told by Phoebe and Paige that because she and Leo had slept together she was now pregnant with Chris. Piper and Leo where brought together again by the birth of there second son, Chris. Leo and Piper got back together for good when Cole returned, and Leo was made mortal. Piper finally got her chance for a normal life when her and her sisters destroyed the demon Zankou, now everybody including the demons think they are dead.
Temporal Statsis
Piper can actively freeze time, holding people, actions or objects suspended until she returns everything back to how it was. This was Pipers first power to manifest itself when her powers where restored.
Temporal Combustion
Piper can actively cause the structure of something to spontaneously explode. This power developed more than two years after Piper became Charmed as the Elders believe she could handle it.
