Born Paige Matthews on August 22nd 1977 she was the only daughter of Patty Halliwell and her whitelighter Sam Wilder. As an adopted child she grew up knowing she was loved by the Matthews family but never stopped wondering about her biological family. At the age of 17 Paige was left alone in the world when her parents died tragically in a car accident. Desperate to turn her life around and help others, Paige earned a degree in social work and pursued it as a career. When Prue was killed, Paige was inexplicably drawn to the funeral, where she encountered Piper and Phoebe for the first time. The Sources Oracle revealed Paige to be the secret love child of Patty Sam and therefore another Charmed One. At first Paige was shocked and disturbed by her magical abilities, however Paige came to terms with her power and her newfound family. She embraced both with her own brand of enthusiasm and consequently the Power of Three are once again a force to be reckoned with. Paige has the unenviable position of not only being the newest and youngest sister, but also having to fill the shoes of eldest sister Prue. Paiges growing wisdom and confidence has made her an equal in the family.
As the youngest sister, Paige is proving to be an electic mix of all the Halliwells. Like Phoebe she has a quick temperand is usually playful and funny. She also has a strong sense of compassion for others, much like Piper. At the same time she also harbours a rebellious side as shown in her ever changing hair colour, and a love for the bizarre. Paige has a knack for potion making a talent she has probably inherited from her Grams. What was initially self-preservation has blossomed into an accomplished ability to fight the most deadly of demons. These days Paige always tries to do the right thing, as she quickly discovered what a being a Charmed One meanns. Paige tried to continues her job as a social worker after she gained her powers but struggled to do both justice. So after devoting an entire year to the craft she decided it was time to get out into the real world again . To leave time for her Charmed emergencies, she had a string of temp jobs including: dog walking, fruit packing, secretary and home help aid all of which led to some magical problem she had to solve. Most recently Paige became the headmistress of the Magic School taking over from Gideon who Leo killed. Paige later resigned as headmistress of Magic School, and Leo took her place. Paige has recently begun whitelighter duties.
Upon first discoverinh her powers Paige was dating a guy named Shane, unfortunately The Source turned him evil in order to destroy the new edition to the Halliwells, luckily the sisters were able to save him. She then dated a guy called Nate but she discovered that he had a wife and family. There was also a long standing friendship with Glen, a friend from high school, but bad timing and different personal goals saw an end to that. Paige then fell in love with Richard Montana, a fellow witch, they connected deeply and eventually moved in together, but Paige soon realised that magic had been a destructive force in Richards family, and his continued exposure to it would eventually destroy him too. She broke up with Richard for the greater good. Paige then moved onto Agent Kyle Brody and allowed him to know about the magical world so they could exchange information about what they knew about the avatars. Sadly Agent Brody was killed, but Paige knew he was ok and that he had become a whitelighter as he travelled back to see her briefly.
Paige like her sisters has the chance to get her life back, now that everyone believes them dead after they destroyed Zanku and the nexus.
Orbing
Paige is half whitelighter, which means she can materialise into a ball of white light and rematerialise in another place within seconds. To begin with Paiges orbing abilities only enables her to travel short distances, but her abilities haved evolved over time allowing her to reappear much further away. Paige can also orb an object by calling ou for it. She can call for something like a book or weapon, or redirect something like a fireball to keep herself, her sisters or an innocent safe.
Biokinesis
Paiges half whitelighter heritage means she can heal wounds through the power of her hands, but only when aided by another whitelighter with healing powers.
